A Note from Gary Wiens, Director of IHOP-Northwest:

We are pleased to announce the start of the first Forerunner Internship at the International House of Prayer Northwest, beginning September 12, 2010 with a “Beta” version.

Since the cancellation of the Forerunner School of Supernatural Ministry (due to an insufficient number of applications), we felt directed by the Holy Spirit to move in the direction of a full-tiime internship. Our plan is to fully launch this internship in February of 2011, but to offer a “Beta” version this fall to form the structure and program of the internship.

Forerunner Internship

This internship is for anyone aged 18 and up, and requires a full-time commitment.

The up-side of this Fall 2010 “Beta” version is that there is no tuition charge. Each intern will be responsible for their own housing, transportation, and materials, but the program itself is free! The small down-side is that the interns will learn together with us about how to run an internship, so it will be an adventure!

The Forerunner Internship will begin September 12, 2010, and will continue for 13 weeks, with a week off for Thanksgiving. It is a full-time commitment, with hours from Noon to 10 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, as well as Sunday morning. Full participation in the program is required.

The Forerunner Internship will involve several components: Personal study and Prayer Room time, Class time (i.e. Allen Hood’s “Excellencies of Christ” DVD course), Harp & Bowl team training and participation, administrative work (office work, facility upkeep, Children’s Equipping Center activity, etc.), and evening participation in the IHOP-NW Prayer Meetings.

Please join us!

I want to extend to each of you the invitation to participate in the Forerunner Internship with us. You are welcome to join us if the Lord makes a way for that to happen. Brandon Sales, one of our key leaders, will be taking a major leadership role in the Internship as we move forward.

Please let me know any questions you might have, and Brandon or I (Gary) will answer you the best we can.

Blessings on you all. Please make this a matter of prayerful thought, and come join us!

Grace and peace to you,

Gary Wiens
