The Prayer Room

There is a lot going on within the IHOP–NW ministry, and central hub to everything is the prayer room.
The prayer room is open to those from church communities throughout the region – with a goal of going 24/7 as soon as possible. The prayer room has been designed to reflect the tabernacle of David (1 Chr. 22–24), where we never cease worshiping the Lord and interceding for our world. There are an increasing number of worship sets a day which transition after two hours, and each is guided by one of several prayer formats (see Prayer Room Format below for more).
We want you to feel comfortable, whether as a participant or an anonymous visitor. You are welcome to stay in the prayer room as long as you like. While in the prayer room, feel free to sing along with the worship teams, read your Bible, study a favorite commentary, write in your journal or just pray. You may sit, stand or even pace up and down the aisles. Whatever you do, we ask that you do it in a manner that honors and serves the other people in the room.
If you have any questions while visiting, please do not hesitate to ask. We extend a very warm welcome to you, our guest, and hope the Lord will minister to you while you visit.
Prayer Room Format
Intercession is a corporate time of supplication in which the microphone is open for anyone in the room to use biblical prayers to cry out for revival in the cities and nations of the earth. Prayer leaders will pray on the microphone. Frequently, meetings will include “rapid-fire” prayer cycles, a series of short, 15 second prayers from intercessors in the room focused on a single subject.
Worship with the Word develops the truths of Scripture by turning the passage into songs and prayers to God.
Prophetic Worship seeks to find the immediate flow of the Spirit amidst the congregation. Primarily used during Encountering God Services, this format often includes extended times of corporate worship and personal ministry.
Devotional Worship meetings provide an atmosphere of “soaking” in the Word of God, having our hearts refreshed in intimacy. This is a time where one may come in and individually do devotions, read, pray, etc.
All formats are led by worship teams comprised of committed singers and musicians who mingle their songs with spoken prayers and proclamations, which we call the Harp & Bowl Model (Revelation 5:8).
Further notes regarding the sets, including times, are on the calendar here.
